About Me

Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, my interest in art began while still in grade school. I began painting portraits while attending High School for The Creative & Performing Arts. During my senior year, I was awarded a four-year scholarship by The National Scholastic Arts Award Committee to attend the Pennsylvania Academy For The Fine Arts. I studied classical painting techniques and sculpture. The study of artistic anatomy was reinforced through many hours of life drawing from live models. Even today, I continue to learn from every assignment or personal project that I create.

— Art Education

Afterwards, I traveled throughout Europe studying the art works of the Old Masters and architecture of the various regions. The Palace of Versailles in France was where I was introduced to the Art of Faux Finishes. The palaces materials which were either stolen or sold throughout the centuries were replaced by painting select surfaces to look like real marble, wood, stone and precious stones, matching the existing materials. Everywhere you looked was a lesson in artistic expression, from the magnificent fountain sculptures to the various architectural details. This experience helped me to appreciate and understand the art and architecture we have here in America from a wider perspective.

— Life Experience

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to experience quite a few things when it comes to art. Whether it’s a portrait, mural, faux finish, book illustration or a product design. When I try to analyze what it is I enjoyed the most, I’ve come to the conclusion that I appreciate the act of creating itself.

[Art by Lee] I’m currently working on my fine art series for giclee prints and posters, which involve wildlife, surrealism and commercial subjects as well. In addition, plan to release a written and illustrated series of children’s story books.

In the meantime, I enjoy doing Fine Art, Portrait and Mural Decor commissions.
